I also attended Ken's workshop on Picasso's blue period with Francesca as our model. She has the "absinthe" but didn't drink it!

At the Scottish Arts Club
I've been in Edinburgh now since mid-September 2018 and have painted very little. But joining the Scottish Arts Club has been a decided positive decision among many others. I am meeting many interesting people and people who enjoy the things I do and are introducing me to a side of Scotland I didn't appreciate. As a Glaswegian, Edinburgh has up till now, been a bit of a mystery, even although I have visited and loved it since for ever, given that my family are all here. I think it has changed since I left the country in 1971, but then, what hasn't, including me. Suffice it to say that I am settling in and so much enjoying a new adventure. I hope that I can get back to really painting soon. With the help of Ken at the Arts Club, whose enthusiasm and encouragement in the visual arts for many of us who join him at the studio, I am sure that I can find my feet again, or at least my brushes! So far I have sketched Frida Kahlo (or our lovely model, Helena, dressed as her) -
